The mission of The Manumission House is to empower formerly incarcerated students in achieving their college degrees by offering secure and transformative housing that’s conducive to their continual learning.

Manumission House (MH) is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to reducing recidivism by supporting justice-impacted individuals pursuing higher education. As the first program of its kind in Maryland, MH provides stable housing, academic guidance, and wrap-around services to help residents achieve their educational goals, gain employment, and reintegrate into society successfully.
